Recently The Biz Photography was asked to photograph Jenny from Delphinus Cruises down at Portsea. The Brief was Daryl I want some shots down at Portsea. A cruise liner is leaving Melbourne and should be going out through the heads at around 8pm I’d love some shots with me on the beach and the ship in the background. Whilst we are there maybe we can get some shots on the beach of myself, I don’t want boring shots I want the shots to have a bit of razzmatazz, I can use these shots on my website that is being built and across my social media.
Jenny didn’t want the photographs to be instantly recognisable as Portsea she just knew that the ship passed by closely in that area. I arrived around 45 minutes before our schedule to scout a location that we could use. Jenny arrived and we set about getting a suite of images of Jenny that nailed her brief. Then we waited for the ship to arrive, The ship was running late and by the time it arrived it was getting pretty dark which created a few challenges the main one being depth of field, I could photograph Jenny and the ship would be out of focus or I could photograph the ship and Jenny would be out of focus. Thinking on the fly I quickly made sure I had photographs of both jenny and the ship that were in focus as I was already thinking I would have to make a composite image. After 5 minutes the ship was gone and the shoot was over.
During the editing and post production stage I sorted out the different images and picked a few to work with below is one example of how I combined the images to make a couple of composite photos. I even changed the colour temperature of the photos to warm them up. This is all part of the service we you use The Biz PhotographyContact Daryl
